![]() | Jennifer Buchanan, BMT, MTA is the owner of JB Music Therapy. Jennifer is Past-President of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy and the President Elect for the Canadian Association for Professional Speakers (Calgary Chapter). Jennifer has presented at many regional and national conferences. Her efforts have been recognized in such magazines as Chatelaine, Canadian Living, Kids in Motion as well as on CBC Radio. |
![]() | Nynne Collins, MMT is a graduate of music therapy from Denmark. JBMT had the pleasure of being one of Nynne's practicum sites some years back. Her compassionate personality and drive to bring a great session to her clients every time was evident at the start. She has specialized in music improvisation and its potential to bring out the best in all persons regardless of age or ability. |
![]() | Andrea Curry BMT is a graduate of Acadia University's Music Therapy Certificate program. Andrea hails from Nova Scotia where she has been involved in music all of her life as a performer and more recently a composer a teacher and a recording artist since 1998. She believes that there is nothing more precious than sharing the gift of music, and embraces the opportunity to facilitate growth, learning and well being through music. |
![]() | Sandy D’Acey Music Teacher, has performed on stages in many parts of the world, including cruise ships and on television and radio. Along with her Voice & Performance Coaching Sandy is a certified Sound Therapist and is currently studying towards her Music Therapy degree. Performing in Calgary with a party/dance band, Sandy feels that sharing music and/or singing is a key to longevity, and keeps you young. |

He is pleased to work with such a diverse and talented group of Accredited Music Therapists during his internship. Jimmy is happy to have this great beginning to his dream job of helping people through music. |
![]() | Diana Jaramillo, BAPsych, MMT, MTA holds a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Bachelor Degrees from USFQ Ecuador (Psychology and Vocal Performance). She completed her internship with Bloorview Kids Rehab in Toronto, Ontario, gaining experience with children with developmental disabilities. She aspires to provide our clients with opportunities to explore different channels of expression within the therapeutic experience to promote feelings of well- being. |

Tammy graduated from the University of Regina and completed her music therapy training in the United States. With her nine years experience in the mental health field Tammy has deepened JB Music Therapy parameters. Tammy is the Accounts Manager of JB Music Therapy. |
![]() | Lisa Jacobs, BMT, MTA has strongly connected with music since she was young. She completed the music therapy program at Capilano College and joined the JB Music Therapy team in 2006. Specializing in working with children, teens and adults, she believes that musical encounters are powerful and should be accessible to all. Lisa also works as a freelance bass guitarist in the Calgary area. |

She also holds a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Lethbridge. With her many years of music experience including piano performance, ensemble performance, and music teaching, she hopes to bring passion and sincerity to each session. |

![]() | Shannon Robinson BMT, MTA (Music Therapy Director), a native Calgarian, has been with JB Music Therapy since the fall of 1999. She received her music therapy education from the Capilano College, Open University Music Therapy Degree Program and was accredited in the summer of 2001. Shannon currently works with a diverse clientele, of all ages, and is dedicated to developing creative program design for all. |

She has done extensive research and clinical work in the area of using music for cognitive stimulation in seniors with dementia. Her wealth of experience with diverse population groups makes her a huge asset to the JBMT team. |

Her populations have varied from children with developmental and cognitive delays to adults with brain injuries to seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia. She received her MTA status in September of 2008 and her degree in Music Therapy from Acadia University in 2007. She completed her internship with St. Joseph’s Healthcare in London, Ontario. Throughout her training she has also gained experience with children and adults with disabilities. Christina is a clarinet major and enjoys participating in community ensembles. With music as her tool, she is excited to enable others to realize their own potential and increase their well-being |
